Employee Assistance Programs

EHPCO is pleased to offer its members employee assistance and work-life services through ComPsych® GuidanceResources®.  ComPsych, the world’s largest provider of EAP Services, and a leader in integrated work-life, disability and other workplace solutions, helps employees get the right assistance at the right time—resulting in better focus at work, greater productivity, less absenteeism and reduced medical costs. ComPsych GuidanceResources offers a robust portfolio of integrated EAP, work-life, behavioral health, absence management and other solutions to support healthy lifestyles and superior performance in the workplace.

EHPCO members can select from a range of services, beginning with EAP and extending to additional programs to support employees.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) are a confidential service provided by employers to help employees with personal difficulties such as emotional problems, family/spousal relationships, substance abuse issues, stress, grief and legal and financial worries—before problems spill into the workplace.

The ComPsych EAP provides toll-free, direct access to master’s and PhD level clinicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week, referrals to local in-person counselors and resources, crisis intervention, critical incident support, management support and referrals, training, customized communications and much more.

Add Work-Life services to give employees additional support to remove the distractions that interfere with workplace effectiveness by providing: customized information, resources and referrals on specific challenges related to child care, elder care, adoption, education, relocation, pet care and personal convenience services; fast, relevant, useful legal information by phone from our on-staff attorneys; and telephonic counseling on money matters such as debt, budgeting and retirement planning by our staff financial experts

Better employee outcomes, faster return to work and reduced claims costs make Disability Outreach Services, available with purchase of EAP,  a valuable benefit to both employers and employees. DisabilityAssist® Outreach helps employees deal constructively with disability-related issues such as depression, family and relationship problems, and adjusting to a reduced quality of living. This support also helps reduce disability duration.

GuidanceResources programs drive business results. According to a recent study of ComPsych EAP/Work-Life Outcomes, employees of companies using GuidanceResources services experienced a nearly 25 percent reduction in absenteeism and a more than 50 percent reduction in stress.
