Founded in 1983, Employers Health Coalition (EHC) is a not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) organization that helps plan sponsors control the cost of healthcare while improving quality and access. EHC has grown dramatically in breadth and scope. In 1999, Employers Health Purchasing Corporation (EHPC) was incorporated as a subsidiary of the Coalition to manage group purchasing programs and government advocacy.
Offices in Canton, Dublin and Cincinnati, Ohio help our 21 staff members better meet the needs of the membership. Our 12-member board of directors representing the employer community works with the CEO to set the organizational direction, bringing the best strategic interest of actual employers to this process.
We help employers deliver high-quality healthcare options at the lowest possible cost. We invest in the health of our communities to build a stronger work force and promote access to better healthcare.
In every endeavor, we seek to bring value through unique programs, significant discounts and unparalleled networking opportunities. We help our members stay ahead of the curve through an exchange of progressive thoughts and ideas. By challenging leaders to think differently about benefits, we introduce strategies and techniques so plan sponsors can proactively seize control of their healthcare spend.
Employers Health has been recognized for its accomplishments by its colleagues and the National Business Coalition on Health as the recipient of NBCH’s first annual Membership Award in 2005.
