EHPCO is an active participant on the Government Affairs Committee of the National Business Coalition on Health.  The Committee consists of representatives from member coalitions throughout the country.  For 2006, the Government Affairs Committee has set the following as top priorities for its advocacy efforts:

• Provider performance measurement and incentives (Pay for Performance)
• Health care data access, safety and quality improvement
• Affordable small employer health plans
• Opposing unreasonable employer coverage mandates
• Health care information technology infrastructure development and expansion

The Committee meets once per month telephonically and regularly submits Position Papers to individual legislators,  legislative committees and other groups advocating for healthcare reform.
