Group Long-Term Care

EHPCO has partnered with Aetna Life Insurance Company to provide you with information on group long-term care insurance. As you prepare to implement a long-term care insurance benefit for your employees and retirees, Aetna professionals will work with you from the initial plan design phase to employee enrollment and on-going plan administration.

Employers want the opportunity to offer their employees and retirees a valuable, comprehensive long-term care benefit. As public awareness and support for long-term care insurance steadily increases, the addition of this important benefit will be recognized as a major enhancement to your overall benefits package. Together, we can design and implement the right long-term care insurance program that makes sense.

Overall, our commitment at Aetna is to provide:

•  A long-term care product that is contemporary, competitive and comprehensive;

•  Superior customer service and attention; and

•  Efficient claims adjudication and comprehensive case management.

These commitments are backed by a leading insurance company with extensive long-term care experience and sound financial ratings .

Product

Aetna's long-term Care plan is designed to help cover the high and prolonged expenses commonly associated with a severe physical or cognitive incapacity. Without this type of insurance, these expenses often deplete an individual's or family's resources. Our plan offers a wide spectrum of coverage that protects against the cost of a prolonged stay in a nursing home, the expense of in-home health care or the cost of attending an adult day care center. It even provides benefits for informal family caregivers, caregiver training and respite care.

What makes our product stand out in the marketplace is our philosophy that a blend of informal care coverage, cash benefits and reimbursement for formal services are all critical components of long-term care delivery. With this model, we are able to provide comprehensive, flexible coverage combined with liberal benefits eligibility criteria.

You will find that an Aetna long-term Care plan is carefully designed to focus on the needs of both the individual and family. Aetna provides benefits and services that allow claimants to receive the type of care they prefer – and in the location of their choice, typically their own home.

Unique to Aetna's long-term Care plan are four features that do not reduce the insured's Lifetime Maximum and which further support our philosophy of care-at-home for as long as desirable:

•  Informal Care

•  Respite Care

•  Transitional Care

•  Caregiver Training

Furthermore, features and benefits that others may offer as “extras” (for additional costs), Aetna provides as standard within our basic Long-Term Care plan.

Service

Our clients require superior customer service at two levels: 1) the benefits management staff level, and 2) the individual insured level. Aetna commits to providing superior service at both levels.

We believe it is important for our customers to know the Aetna people with whom they'll be working. Representatives from account management, administration, case management and customer service will be specifically assigned to your program. Your unique needs will be addressed throughout the planning, implementation and on-going service and administration phases.
