The health of communities in general is of great concern to the team at Employers Health. We understand the challenges associated with today’s health care environment, and believe that healthier communities produce healthier workforces, which directly affects our members.
In addition to many community health improvement projects, Employers Health has provided a total of $60,000 over the last two years to support access to health programs in northeast and central Ohio. Relative to an investment in time, Mike Stull, Regional Vice President, is on the board of directors for Access Health Columbus, and serves as its treasurer. Marcas Miles, Director, Programs and Communications, sits on the operations council for Access Health Stark County, and will become the chairman of council this fall. Both organizations are committed to meeting the needs of the community and exploring ways to improve access to health care for all.
In addition, EHPCO’s group purchasing contract with CVS Caremark serves as the prescription purchasing “engine” behind community programs such as the Stark Prescription Assistance Network and Summit County’s Access to Care program.
In partnership with CVS Caremark, Employers Health provides prescription assistance to those without insurance.
